As we all know, back to school time is filled with school supply shopping and numerous forms to either fill out and/or update. To get you started on the right path, the following information will help you sail through the registration process whether you are new to Celina ISD or a returning student.
For New Students to Our District:
Registration information can be found on the Celina ISD website at www.celinaisd.com. Click on the Parent tab and scroll to Documents and Forms. Information pertaining to registration procedures can be located under this tab and also a few of the documents that are required for enrollment. For new students, you have two options in regard to the registration forms. (1) You can print the forms at home, fill them out and bring them with you to the registration fair on August 1st, or (2) Forms will be available for you to fill out at the fair if you are not able to print these out prior to August 1st. The district will also need copies of your child’s birth certificate, shot records, and if applicable withdrawal forms, last report card, transcript and test scores from your previous school district.
For Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students that attended the Pre-Registration Fair:
For those of you that attended the Pre-Registration Fair held in April, you do not have to fill out registration forms since those were already submitted, but you will have to supply what is listed below under “For All Students.” There are forms that were not available for you to fill out in April but must be submitted for your registration to be complete. Copies of these forms will be available for you to fill out at the fair. If you did not attend the Pre-Registration Fair, you will need to visit www.celinaisd.com and follow the information listed above for new students.
For Returning Students to Our District:
Parent Portal will open on July 25th for our returning students. Step by step instructions will be available in the “Need Documents” section of the login page. A green checkmark will appear in each section as you complete the required forms. There are many forms to complete and we highly recommend that you take this opportunity to complete the online portion before the registration fair in order to avoid a lengthy registration process. Please be sure to print out the confirmation page or screen shot the information to your phone, so that our district personnel can verify that you have completed all online registration forms. Also, our secondary campuses have added forms that are campus specific and will be located in a separate section on Parent Portal. These will also need to be completed prior to the registration fair. If you experience issues with Parent Portal, we will have technology assistance on hand at the fair to help you with your account.
For All Students:
Whether you are new or returning to our District, you will need to bring the following items with you to register:
- Photo Identification in the form of the following: Driver’s License or Government Issued ID of parent/legal guardian.
- Proof of Residency: Celina ISD will ONLY accept the following as Proof of Residency: Copy of current water or electric utility bill and must have the parent/legal guardian name(s) and residence listed within CISD boundaries printed on the bill. (Examples of bills that we cannot accept will be as follows; gas, cable/television, phone, etc.)
- If you are renting at the time of registration, a copy of your lease/rental agreement with parent/legal guardian name(s) and residence within CISD boundaries must be listed on the contract. The contract must also include the landlord/company name and the lease start and end date.
- FYI – Students are not allowed to register themselves and must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.
Celina ISD will be experiencing large growth over the next few years and due to this, the district no longer accepts transfers to any of our campuses. If you are moving to Celina and your children will be attending our school district, please be aware that you must physically live within our boundaries prior to the first day of school on August 14, 2019. If you are not scheduled to move to Celina prior to August 14th, you will not be allowed to enroll. All addresses will be verified during registration.
Registration Fair postcards will be sent out during the month of July to our existing parents. If you will be moving here and would like information regarding the registration fair, we do have copies of the postcards available on each campus. Please continue to follow our website and/or social media pages for fair updates. Due to the ongoing construction behind Celina High School, parking for the fair may have to be adjusted from what is posted at this time.
